What exactly it means to be Goth? Punk, rocker, metalhead?
It's not just in appearance, or the music we listen to. It's a totally different lifestyle, a different view of the world.
As I already mentioned in my post about the inspiration, music means a lot to me and whenever my hands are bussy , music is playing in the background. It can be very inspiring.Sometimes I'm mad, sometimes happy, sometimes sad .. each that feeling is reflected in the music and I'm transfering it to my work.
Personally, I don't wanna be classified into any particular group. Black metal is my first choice but I also like goth, dark-electro, rockabilly, metal .. Each genre has its own special charm. I do not want to be labeled and certainly not restricted. I want to enjoy the music I listen to. But if you just ask me, I can tell you that I see myself more as a metalhead, not as a goth
When I was younger, I was asked, "How can you say that you're a metalhead and not listening to Iron Maden, Metallica?" I guess that most people would agree with them, they are really the basics of metal. Do not worry, I know my knowledge abou that.
Such questions are posed to me more than once and my answer would always be: "Did you hear about Red Harvest, Satyricon, Enslaved, Darkthrone?" . No of course not, because these bands, until 15 years ago, were quite big unknown in Croatia, especially in the small town where I live. People were listenings the bands that were quite accessible. I luckily had my older cousin, and she was regularly updating me with new music. She understood me, because she went through the same calvary as well.
Today, music is easily available, there are a bunch of bands, each genre has its 100 subgenres so it's hard to keep track. I do not know whether it's good or bad thing. All somehow mixed together, rarely you can say for any band which genre it belongs to. Even bands that I have just mentioned are no longer clean, so to speak. Why is that so?
There is a new time, a new kids who are trying to fit in. Indeed, I support that but there's also a change that I don't like. I'm old-fashioned, just complaining so don't judge me.
Also, a major role in reversing the bands is the money. All begin with an initial idea of how they play for themselves, for their fans, they say that music is the most important .. But eventually, when they feel the smell of money and then the bubble brakes.
Hardly any band take 30 years (honorable exceptions) to play the same music. For example, I will take one of my favorite bands ( not black metal), In Flames. I fell in love in their original sharp sound..And today, I can only say that their new songs are rarely in my repertoire. It's sad, because I grew up with them. But people change, geting old, and sometimes just the problem is lack ofinspiration .. They want to raise as much public as possible and begin to make music that is acceptable to most ears.

I just wanted to say a few words about the music because it is a big part of my life. Share your opinions with me in the comments.
